The Balance of Life

It's impossible to be 28 years old, and have 15 years of work experience, having lived in 7 different countries, having a bachelor degree and being able to do only what you like when you feel like it. Leaving Argentina was necessary, a starting point, but as I find stability, what has been achieved does not reach me. I want more, although I do not know what I want or what it does means.

Life has moments, and the 3 years that I set here as my first goal, help me to understand that everything takes time, effort and dedication.

"You have a 9 to 5 job in which at least your hours are not devalued day by day" a friend told me when I told him that while we have more freedom now and we are owners of our own decisions, we still having a 9 to 5 job. We are still part of a system that thinks that having 2 weeks of vacation per year is good enough, that it's expected to work until you are too old to enjoy the money you've earned. A system in which the most logical way of thinking, is that the best years of your life and your energy should be dedicated to the company that you work for.

"Rich is not the one that has more, but the one that needs less", sometimes we are so worried about accumulating, that we forget to enjoy ourselves in the meantime. Save to buy the car, save for the next trip or just in case. The system pushes us to behave that way, we have only two weeks of vacation per year and we have to take advantage of them well.

In two weeks, we have to be able to rest, enjoy, walk, visit new cities and cultures, go out, do something worthwhile. All in search of having a stability, so precious, or overestimated, by the system.

Not knowing what I want, how I want it, or when I want it, is a begening. The beginning of a long road towards to understand what I want.

This is a long path to find a balance, to be able to enjoy, to understand that everything takes time. It's impossible to be 28 years old, and have 15 years of work experience, having lived in 7 different countries, having a bachelor degree and being able to do only what you like when you feel like it.

I guess it's all about finding a balance in life.
